West Africa, Equatorial Guinea On the Bioko island, 50 km south of Malabo you will find an amazing place called Ureka. Ureka’s natural jewels include the spectacular waterfalls of the Eoli River as well as the stunning beaches of Moraka and Moaba. During the dry season in Moraka and Moaba, turtles come to shore to lay their eggs. Since 1996 the villagers have worked as guards to patrol the beaches during nesting season, as part of an NGO protection project. When you’re not sunning yourself on the beaches, there are excellent opportunities for hiking in the nearby jungle.

Мала́бо (исп. Malabo ) (до 1973 Санта-Исабель, Santa Isabel) — столица Экваториальной Гвинеи . Расположена в северной части острова Биоко (или Фернандо-По) у подножья затонувшего вулкана./Malabo ( Malabo Spanish ) ( until 1973 Santa Isabel , Santa Isabel , the capital of Equatorial Guinea . Located in the Northern part of the island of Bioko ( or Fernando ) at the foot of a sunken volcano.
At first glance, the small West African nation of Equatorial Guinea is doing well. Sandwiched between Cameroon and Gabon on the Gulf of Guinea, the oil-rich nation of 820,000 has a per capita GDP equivalent to that of the Czech Republic or Portugal. But the picture is more complicated than that. Much of its population lives in conditions similar to that in the world’s poorest countries. Infant mortality rates are worse than in Ethiopia or war-ravaged South Sudan. Many people lack access to clean drinking water and about half the population lives in poverty. A large chunk of Equatorial Guinea’s oil revenues are thought to have been lost to corruption. All this has taken place under the watch of President Teodoro Obiang, who’s been charge since 1979, when he ousted his own uncle in a mil...

After 49 years living in Southern California, USA, I decided to move to the Philippines despite never having been here before. I spent a year getting all the information I could online and on July, 2012, I took a leap of faith and transplanted myself first to Mactan and then began my trek through Cebu, Bohol, Panglao, Moalboal and currently in Dumaguete here in the amazing Philippines. I am a single man taking an honest look at all that the islands here have to offer,...
Biking thru the neighborhood of Caracolas. This gives you a picture of a nicer area of Malabo. Most of the things in this area are stable and new. This comparatively speaking " one of the quiet neighborhood"
TRAVELING ON GUINEA ECUATORIAL, MALABO, ARENA BLANCA,
DOUALA, CAMEROON — An Air France jet traveling from Malabo, Equatorial Guinea to Douala, Cameroon nearly hit central Africa’s tallest mountain on May 2. Flight AF953 changed course and turned north mid-flight to avoid storm clouds that were in its original flightpath. The Boeing 777’s new flightpath directed the plane towards the 4,090-metres-tall Mount Cameroon. Flying at 2,743 metres, the plane ascended sharply to 3,962 metres and narrowly missed the mountain. An initial report by France's BEA air accident agency says that as the plane neared the mountain, the aircraft issued an automated warning that told the pilots to take immediate action. AF953 was carrying 23 passengers, three pilots and 10 crew members. After a preliminary investigation, Air France said crew members acted in ...
French investigators say an Air France airplane missed hitting the highest mountain in central Africa in early May. Flight AF953 was travelling from Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, to Douala, the Cameroonian capital, when it hit bad weather on 2 May. While avoiding storm clouds, the plane came close to hitting Mount Cameroon. The Boeing 777 aircraft had 37 people on board as it made the short journey to Douala, which is around 62 miles from Malabo. An initial incident report published by BEA said an automated warning, saying "Pull up", was activated. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-32890312#sa-ns_mchannel=rss&ns_source=PublicRSS20-sa http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by Wochit using http://wochit.com
